I love Elin Hilderbrand and I’ve read every one of her novels。 This one just felt jumbled to me。 The story was good though。

This hit homeI lost my mother in May 2020。 I often wonder what happened when she died。 Did she look at me the way Vivian looked at her children？ Did she give me a nudge or two？ This book really hit home。 And I really hope that somehow somewhere there’s some truth in this

I was skeptical when I read the synopsis of this book but ended up really enjoying it。 As with any Hildebrand novel it was well written and gives you the feeling of living on Nantucket。 A bit predictable but still captured all the feels of how life can take you down paths for reasons we may not be able to figure out until the afterlife。

Loving the music at the end of this audio book。 Narration was wonderful。 A different kind of love story。 Love for the family we need to know will be okay without us。 Family drama， relationship drama， a mystery of the accident to be solved， all on beautiful Nantucket while Vivvie watches from the beyond。 An excellent beach read for the summer。

*Buddy Read with Trish*Out of all the Elin Hilderbrand books I've read Golden Girl hit home the most for me and has be my favourite。 I was in tears at the end of the book， both happy and sad。 Golden Girl is mostly about grief and losing the ones we love。 I cannot tell you enough how much this book means to me as I lost my Dad very suddenly and tragically almost 2 years ago。 Golden Girl was written for me and came at the right time in my life。 I am going to hold this book close to my heart and it *Buddy Read with Trish*Out of all the Elin Hilderbrand books I've read Golden Girl hit home the most for me and has be my favourite。 I was in tears at the end of the book， both happy and sad。 Golden Girl is mostly about grief and losing the ones we love。 I cannot tell you enough how much this book means to me as I lost my Dad very suddenly and tragically almost 2 years ago。 Golden Girl was written for me and came at the right time in my life。 I am going to hold this book close to my heart and it will probably stick with me forever。 。。。more

May well be my favorite Elin Hilderbrand to date！ And that is saying a lot because I devour them as soon as they are released and loved her Winter Stroll series as well。 Unique concept- a page turner。 She delivers yet again- my only regret is that I finished it so soon and have to wait until next Summer。。。

I liked the mystery and the concept of the mother being able to watch from above。 I struggled with the outrageous self congratulations and promotion as the author portrayed herself through her main character。 And I know what I'm getting into with an Elin HIlderbrand book。 There will be outrageous amounts of culinary detail， but it gets laughable when you have a character such as the chief of police discuss in detail the sandwich that he's going to get， down to how the meat is sliced and the very I liked the mystery and the concept of the mother being able to watch from above。 I struggled with the outrageous self congratulations and promotion as the author portrayed herself through her main character。 And I know what I'm getting into with an Elin HIlderbrand book。 There will be outrageous amounts of culinary detail， but it gets laughable when you have a character such as the chief of police discuss in detail the sandwich that he's going to get， down to how the meat is sliced and the very specific bread it's on。 I of course cringed at the flippant comparison of the main character's free week stay at a friend's parent's house， that happened to be in an attic， to that of the plight of Anne Frank。 And I believe she meant the Magnificent Mile when referring to shopping in Chicago and not the Miracle Mile， which I googled and found to be in Vegas。 I came away as I usually do from one of these books。 I enjoyed the read， but remained annoyed at the elitism displayed and ridiculous food descriptions。 However， like I said， I know what I'm getting into with her so it's really on me that I keep going back。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this book。 Good characters。 Vivi and Martha were my favorites。 The only one I did not like was Marissa。 Ms。 Hilderbrand is one of my all time favorite authors and she did not disappoint with this novel。 I also like the idea of maybe getting 3 nudges when I go to heaven。

Probably a 3。5 for me。 I’ve read several of her books over the last few years and enjoy them as entertaining summer reads。 This book was mostly predictable， but I still like reading about her different characters and love the beach feel from learning more about Nantucket。 Overall， enjoyable read that kept me turning the pages。
